Welder
Penmac Staffing is looking for Weld Technicians in Eldon.
Job Description
- Certified to perform hand welding operations on a wide range of metals on various types of seat structures.
- Operate all types of hand or power tools, electric machines and oxy-acetylene associated with welding (i.e. grinders, wire feeders, cranes, torches, etc.).
- Regulate current, voltage and select proper tips, rods, and sizes for various types of welding according to individual job requirements.
- Manipulate electrode in proper sequence and use care to lay smooth and an even bead of required width. (Avoid undercutting of metal).
- Layout and fit work to meet drawing tolerances.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Other duties as required.
STARTING PAY $19.00 per hour!!
Hours
Monday - Friday with the possibility of overtime on the weekend
3rd Shift 11pm - 7am
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certificate in Welding Technology required
- Manufacturing weld experience preferred
- Robotic weld technical program a plus
- Computer Skills:
Capable of using in-house printers to produce parts identification labels. - Basic reading and mathematical skills
- Carry / Lift 45 lbs.
- Follow safe work practices along with all plant rules and regulations
